1251 Avenue of the Americas

1251 Avenue of the Americas, formerly known as the Exxon Building, opened in 1970. Located on Sixth Avenue (also known as Avenue of the Americas), between 49th and 50th Streets, in Manhattan, New York City, it is currently owned by Mitsui Fudosan America and serves as their North American Headquarters. 1251 features a public plaza with a two-tiered reflecting pool, virtually column free floor plate, high perimeter window to floor area ratio, space saving 4’8" window bay modules and virtual floor to ceiling windows. 1251’s lobby was recently renovated in 2021 and is open to the public.
