The Galleria in Houston is a three million-square-foot mixed-use complex located on a 52-acre site in southwest Houston. Inspired by the famed Galleria Vittorio Emanuele in Milan, Italy, the complex features over 300 fine stores and restaurants, two Westin Hotels with a combined total of 900 rooms, three office towers totaling in excess of one million square feet, an Olympic-size ice skating rink and the Galleria Tennis and Athletic Club, a private social and athletic club. Anchor stores for the retail portion of the complex included the 188,000-square-foot Neiman Marcus, the 200,000-square-foot Saks Fifth Avenue and the 260,000-square-foot Macy's. Hines sold The Galleria in 1999.
