In 2007, Hines, on behalf of its Core Fund, acquired Wells Fargo Center, a 30-story, Class A office tower considered by many as the most prestigious office building in the Sacramento region. Located at 400 Capitol Mall, this landmark project was designed by award-winning architect, Hellmuth, Obatta & Kassabaum (HOK), and constructed in 1992. The building offers 502,365 square feet and houses the market's premier law, accounting and other professional service firms.
Situated in the heart of the Sacramento Central Business District, Wells Fargo Center provides access to numerous office and retail developments, including Westfield's Downtown Plaza, Historic Old Sacramento, the recently renovated Amtrak Station and the future Union Pacific Railyard development. The property is also nearby the Capitol Building and a variety of state local agencies.
Hines sold the building in 2016 but still property manages property.
