Adam Hines
Chief of Staff, Office of the CEO / Houston, TX
Adam Hines is the Chief of Staff in the Office of the CEO (OCEO) at Hines. In this role, he works closely with Co-CEOs Jeff Hines and Laura Hines-Pierce, focusing on the OCEO’s high-level strategic priorities, including enhancing Hines’ client engagement strategies and positioning the firm for future growth. He is a member of the firm’s Management, Executive, and Investment Committees.
Adam joined the firm in 2017, focusing on residential acquisitions. He helped form the European living team, which supported the company’s expansion of residential efforts in the region. He has served as Managing Director and Investment Management Growth Officer. In this role, Adam was responsible for overseeing efforts to broaden engagement with high-net-worth investors and family offices. Notably, Adam was instrumental in the creation of Hines Private Wealth Solutions, our platform dedicated to providing a suite of offerings tailored to meet the needs of individual investors. Before that, he served as managing director of the capital markets group where he helped develop and lead strategic capital-raising initiatives in the Americas for high-net worth individuals and created the Hines Global Access Partners and Hines Employee Access Partners funds raising $460 million combined and more than $600 million through our bond and debt offerings. He previously served on the Global Investment Strategy team, where he supported product and business development globally. This experience positioned him to provide the firm with a comprehensive global perspective, drawing upon invaluable insights garnered from his contributions across the Americas, Europe, and Asia. Before Hines, Adam worked for Dexus Property Group in Sydney, Australia, in various roles including research, finance, asset management, and funds management.
Adam serves on the Board of the Nature Conservancy – Texas Chapter, a global environmental nonprofit.
He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Williams College and a Master of Business Administration from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management, along with a Master of Science in Design Innovation from Northwestern University’s Segal Design Institute at the McCormick School of Engineering and Applied Science.
