Ankur Gupta

Ankur Gupta is Managing Director and Head of Investments at Hines in India, where he leads business growth and investment management, including driving the firm’s expansion into new asset classes. With a proven track record of sourcing, structuring, and closing complex real estate transactions, he has been instrumental in scaling Hines’ residential and commercial business across key Indian markets.

Ankur has a demonstrated track record in delivering growth while mitigating risk and maintaining financial discipline. Since joining Hines in 2020, he has helped closed deals covering more than 10 million square feet and has led capital raise of over $250 million by building strategic joint ventures with both global institutional investors and domestic fund managers.

Prior to joining Hines, he held leadership roles in the real estate businesses of Shapoorji Pallonji Group and Tata Group, leading their capital raise (>$400 million) and portfolio expansion efforts (>25 million square feet). At Shapoorji Pallonji, he played a pivotal role is raising $250 million equity capital to set up one of India’s largest affordable housing platform - Joyville. At Tata Group Ankur led efforts to expand the commercial portfolio across West and South India markets.

Ankur earned a Bachelor of Engineering from Anna University and has completed the Post Graduate Program in Management from the Indian School of Business, Hyderabad.
