Babu Nagappan

Babu Nagappan is the Managing Director and Head of Development for South India at Hines, where he leads the planning, entitlement, execution, and revenue management of major real estate development projects. Based in Bangalore, he currently oversees the development of over 4 million square feet of Grade A commercial office space, including flagship projects like Altitude and Uptown.
Babu played a pivotal role in establishing Hines’ presence in Bangalore, successfully spearheading the company’s entry into this key growth market. He has completed master planning for more than 6 million square feet of office space, underscoring his commitment to managing development projects. A continual learner who believes in developing, delivering, and governing sustainable built environment assets.
Prior to joining Hines, he held key roles at Karle Infra, Online Projects, and BPL, contributing to a range of projects across South India.
Babu is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) with deep expertise in real estate development, project delivery, and stakeholder coordination. He holds a Master’s degree in Real Estate Management and Development from Heriot-Watt University, UK, and has completed the Executive General Management Program at the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore.
