Brett Norton

As Senior Managing Director, Brett spearheads development and acquisitions for Hines in Southern California, focusing on Los Angeles, Orange County, Inland Empire, and Las Vegas. Recently, Brett has been instrumental in advancing Hines’ Los Angeles mixed-use placemaking efforts, leading business plans to generate outsized risk-adjusted returns for investors who seek top-quality, distinctive developments.

Since joining Hines in 2005, he has taken a leadership role in driving new business opportunities, managing complex development projects, overseeing acquisitions, securing financing, handling asset management, executing dispositions, and providing strategic leadership to project teams. Brett also leads third-party partnerships for the West Coast, completing over 30 acquisitions and developments valued at over $8 billion. He has played a pivotal role in diversifying Hines’ product portfolio, including its initial West Coast multifamily acquisition, multifamily development, senior housing development, and industrial development. In 2012, he established Hines’ Las Vegas office.

Brett earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Southern California.
