Charlie is a Senior Managing Director and is responsible for oversight of all commercial real estate activities and market launches across all product types within the Pacific Northwest.

Charlie joined Hines in 2007 in San Francisco where he spent 10 years managing development, acquisitions, financing, marketing, and disposition of commercial and residential assets throughout the Bay Area. His development projects include 400-450 Concar in San Mateo, the VMware campus in Palo Alto, and Spera in San Francisco. He has led the design, entitlements, permitting, construction buyout, and breaking ground for Salesforce Tower, the tallest building in San Francisco at 1,070 feet, spanning over 1.4 million square feet. In 2017, he launched Hines’ Office of Innovation, where he led investments in early-stage real estate technology companies and venture capital funds on behalf of the firm. Charlie also launched Hines’ enterprise coworking platform, the SQ, designed to provide flexible workspace within Hines’ global office portfolio.

In 2021, Charlie opened the Hines Portland office and now oversees the broader Pacific Northwest for the firm. Over the years, Charlie has delivered over 2.5 million square feet of development, totaling over $2 billion in project assets under management. In total, He has bought, sold, and managed over 8 million square feet of real estate.

Charlie is co-Chair of the ULI Northwest Urban Product Council.

He earned his Bachelor of Arts in English from Georgetown University and his Master of Business Administration from The Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College.
