Daniel Esdorn

Dan is a Managing Director and a partner in the Northern California office. He is responsible for sourcing, underwriting, and executing new business opportunities across San Francisco and the North Bay. Among other responsibilities, Dan serves as project officer for Hines’ planned 77 Natoma, an 800-foot tall, 1.1-million-square-foot mixed-use tower development, and Hines’ planned Transbay Block 4, a 680-unit high-rise residential project in San Francisco.

Dan joined Hines in 2013 as an associate in Hines’ San Francisco project office, focused on development and acquisitions. He led Hines’ efforts in investment and development underwriting for more than eight million square feet of prospective projects across office, residential, retail, industrial, and hospitality, including the redevelopment master plan of a 4.5-million-square-foot corporate campus project on behalf of a global technology firm in Mountain View, CA, and the redevelopment of 825 Stewart Drive, a 75,000-square-foot, Class A office/R&D property in Sunnyvale, CA.

Before joining Hines, Dan was a development associate for residential and mixed-use projects at the Related Companies and an analyst at Citigroup’s corporate and investment bank in New York.

He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Economics from Georgetown University and a Master of Business Administration from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College.
