Elena Vakali

Elena is a Senior Managing Director, Head of Asset Management and Management Services Europe and is responsible for all asset management activities and property management operations across Europe.
Prior to this position, Elena headed up the European Portfolio Management team at Hines and was responsible for the investment execution, portfolio oversight and performance reporting and forecasting for all comingled real estate funds and separate account mandates in Europe. Before this leadership role, she was part of the Hines European fund management team focusing on strategy, investment and operations of several pan-European investment vehicles.
Elena joined Hines in 2013. Before that, she held fund and asset management roles at AXA Real Estate and J.P. Morgan Asset Management in London. Elena started her career as a junior auditor at Ernst & Young in Athens in 2005.
Elena is a member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors and holds a BSc in Finance and Banking from the School of Finance and Statistics, University of Piraeus, Greece and an MSc in Real Estate Investment and Finance from the Henley Business School, University of Reading, UK.
