John is a Managing Director and is responsible for acquiring, developing, and financing Hines’ Chicago and U.S. Midwest projects. Most recently, John led the development of Salesforce Tower Chicago, a 1.2-million-square-foot office building on the Chicago riverfront and the final phase of the Wolf Point Master Plan. His responsibilities included project underwriting, joint-venture negotiation, raising $250 million in equity financing, design and programming review, and initial leasing and marketing.

Since joining Hines in 2017, John has been responsible for the asset management of 321 N. Clark, a 920,000-square-foot office tower in Downtown Chicago that underwent a $50-million redevelopment in 2019. John’s other responsibilities at Hines include analyzing new business opportunities, project underwriting, market research, and managing due diligence and JV partner relationships.

John is a member of the Economic Club of Chicago and the Arts Club of Chicago.

He earned a Bachelor of Science in Urban Planning and Development from the University of Southern California.
