Rob Witte

Rob is a Senior Managing Director, Head of Residential Land Development and Self-Storage Americas. He manages acquisitions, dispositions, and development for residential land and self-storage.

Since joining Hines in 1993, Rob has been involved with managing and developing millions of square feet of commercial and residential projects, including office, retail, industrial, hotel, and master-planned communities. His experience includes asset management and disposition of the Dallas Galleria Mall and Westin Hotel, the campus redevelopment of The Baylor College of Medicine Houston, development of Computer Associates’ DFW campus, and development of the Westin Riverwalk Hotel in San Antonio. His acquisition, replanning, and development of 1,200 acres in Las Colinas – Irving, Texas was the starting point of the Hines’ lot development, self-storage, and single-family rental platforms.

Rob has served as a Director on several Boards, including the Baylor Scott and White Irving Foundation and the Las Colinas Association. Prior to Hines, Rob worked for several years at KPMG Peat Marwick.

Rob earned his Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Texas at Austin and is an active Certified Public Accountant. Outside of real estate, Rob enjoys spending time on Lake Travis in Austin, attending college football games, cruising and snow skiing in Steamboat Springs.
