Shawn Hardy

Shawn is a Managing Director in Hines’ San Francisco Bay Area project office. He currently serves as the development officer for Hines’ Dublin Commons, a 4.2-million-square-foot mixed-use, master-planned project in partnership with American Realty Advisors, as well as for phase 1 of Rise Cupertino, a residential vertical development, among other new business strategy pursuits.

Since joining Hines in 2011, Shawn’s duties have evolved into driving new business generation, executing complex development projects, acquisitions, financing, sourcing, leasing, asset management, dispositions, and providing strategic leadership to project teams. He has completed 30 purchase and sale transactions valued at over $3 billion. Shawn’s current portfolio of ten projects consists of six existing assets and four developments, totaling 11.3 million square feet. More recently, Shawn has been driving growth for Hines’ San Francisco Bay Area mixed-use placemaking efforts, leading business plans to generate outsized risk-adjusted returns for investors who seek high-quality, differentiated developments and acquiring multifamily projects to take advantage of the cyclical pricing post-pandemic.

He earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Washington and completed its Commercial Real Estate Program.
