Hines Announces Name of First Student Residence in France: aparto Paris Liberté

Hines unveils the identity of its first student residence in France in Charenton-le-Pont (Val-de-Marne): "aparto Paris Liberté", in homage to the town of Charenton-le-Pont and its line 8 “Liberté” metro station. With an expected opening in early 2027, the project demonstrates Hines' continued dedication to delivering high-quality living spaces.

The project, which began in January 2025, involves the transformation of an obsolete 26,500 m2 office building into a residential complex for students. This development will provide 660 beds with a variety of room types including studios, T2, clusters, and double rooms, ensuring flexible solutions tailored to student lifestyles. Designed with an emphasis on community and well-being, the residence will also offer best-in-class amenities, such as study rooms, cinema, media and music spaces, rooftop with relaxation area, shared kitchens, and fitness facilities. Through Hines’ student accommodation management platform, aparto, an array of events and workshops will be curated year-round to foster a collaborative and supportive student environment.
