Joshua Scoville Joins Hines as New Research Executive

(HOUSTON) – Hines, the international real estate firm, announced today that Joshua Scoville has joined the firm as Senior Vice President – Research. In that capacity, he will lead Hines' global research efforts combining real-time information generated by Hines local offices with top-down macroeconomic trends.

Most recently, Scoville was the Director of U.S. Research for PPR, a subsidiary of CoStar Group and the market leader in analyzing and forecasting commercial real estate markets in North America and Europe. He was responsible for managing their research platform and participating in their broader initiatives including quarterly forecasting, market analysis, thought leadership and product development. He also advised institutional clients, researched property markets and managed a team of market analysts.

For the last five years, he served as editor-in-chief of PPR’s white paper series, Real Estate/Portfolio Strategist.

“Hines’ core strength is our platform of people who are experts in their respective markets,” said Hines President and CEO Jeff Hines.

“Josh’s expertise will enhance our platform by assessing how global macroeconomic conditions affect us, and aid in developing a strategic direction in the investments we undertake. We have worked with him for many years while he was with PPR, and are very excited about the enhanced perspective he will bring to our investment management business.”

Scoville received a B.A. magna cum laude in Economics and Business management from Boston College, is a CFA charter holder, and an active member of the Urban Land Institute and Pension Real Estate Association.
