Completed in 1981, 800 Fifth Avenue is a 42-story, 1.2 million-gross-square-foot office building located in downtown Seattle. The exterior of the building is clad in a natural aluminum finish with a structural cross-bracing design and lightly tinted gray glass. The complex also contains a landscaped public plaza, 17,000 square feet of retail space and below-grade parking for 612 cars.
Hines completed a repositioning of 800 Fifth Avenue starting in 2014, that included a complete overhaul of the common areas, lobby, and tenant amenity spaces. The refresh reestablished 800 Fifth Avenue as a premier office building within the Seattle Market, and led to the execution of over 850,000 square feet of leasing between 2014 and 2019. Hines sold the property in January 2019.
