With its bowed glass curtain wall and top-floor overhang, Hyundai Motor Tower, developed and built by Hyundai Engineering & Construction Company of Korea, is easily one of Beijing’s most recognizable landmarks. Designed by Minoru Yamasaki Associates, the 24-story, 591,412- square-foot tower demonstrates the same level of quality to its core. Featuring extremely flexible column-free floorplates, with high ceilings that complement the glass curtain wall on its exterior and maximize natural light throughout its interior, the property also includes mechanical, electrical and data systems on par with Hines’ best buildings. In 2013, Hyundai Motor Tower converted its central plant from diesel to natural gas and achieved LEED® for Existing Building Gold Rating in 2014.
