Hines acquired the land for P140 in 2017, envisioning a vibrant urban neighborhood in Stuttgart Möhringen. This prime location offers a unique blend of expansive green recreational spaces, close proximity to the airport, and excellent access to motorways and public transportation.
The development will feature 10 buildings spread across six parcels, encompassing a total gross floor area of 147,000 sqm. It will include approximately 500 apartments, office spaces, a hotel, restaurants, childcare facilities, local retail, and other amenities. At the heart of the project lies the striking green “Fuge,” a central landscaped space designed to be a focal point of the community. Notably, 40% of the residential units will be designated as subsidized housing.
P140 is a forward-thinking, sustainable development that integrates geothermal heating, heat pumps, and photovoltaic systems. It also promotes biodiversity by preserving and introducing diverse flora. In a commitment to sustainability, 52,800 tonnes of concrete from the existing structure will be repurposed on-site.
