In October 2021, HUSPP acquired Lavella, a 334-unit, midrise multifamily asset in West Austin with panoramic hill country views. With Hines’ in-house development and management capabilities, HUSPP was able to reenvision the asset, bringing it up to Class A standards and providing an exceptional resident experience. The upgrades included countertops, flooring, lighting, restrooms, and fixtures, which allowed for mark-to-market rents.

Lavella is well positioned to capture the significant rental demand in the Austin submarket. The property is located near top-rated schools and major transportation arteries, offering convenient access to employment nodes including the central business district in downtown Austin. Multifamily entitlements in the surrounding area are difficult to obtain, limiting future supply.

Located adjacent to more than 6,000 acres of nature preserves, parkland, Lake Austin and Lake Travis, residents have access to a series of nearby outdoor recreational activities.
