(CHICAGO) – Hines, the international real estate firm, along with WiredScore, announced today that Salesforce Tower Chicago, the 60-story, 1.2 million-square-foot office tower under development in Chicago, has achieved WiredScore Platinum certification, the highest-awarded mark that proves a building meets exceptional standards for the quality of its digital infrastructure, resilience and wireless network.
Salesforce Tower Chicago, part of the Wolf Point development, is Hines’ first WiredScore Platinum certified ground-up development in Chicago, confirming the office project’s user-centric focus. Salesforce Tower Chicago will have the capacity to accommodate any tenant connectivity requests, offer maximum redundancy to decrease the chance of downtime and have multiple internet service options for primary and back-up connections to provide exceptional digital connectivity that helps landlords with leasing and retention efforts and increases the overall investment value of the asset.
Salesforce Tower Chicago’s certification continues Hines’ track record for improving the employee’s experience in Hines, such as River Point (Chicago), Texas Tower (Houston) and CIBC SQUARE (Toronto).
“Salesforce Tower Chicago delivers connectivity on an entirely different level. With this WiredScore certification, we are proving that businesses can stay connected from anywhere in the building on a secure, reliable network that seamlessly adapts to new technology. This is a strong differentiator for Hines among other offerings in the market,” said Hines Director John Tomlinson.
Tom Redmayne, managing director, WiredScore North America, commented: “There has never been a more critical time for landlords to work hand in glove with the companies and people which occupy their buildings to ensure that demands for digital connectivity are being listened to. Salesforce Tower is a dynamic example of exceptional global connectivity standards, made possible by a shared goal with our client, Hines; to make the world’s buildings smarter and better-connected, placing the people at the heart of them.”
Steve Brashear, SVP global real estate, Salesforce, said: “As the future of work continues to evolve, WiredScore has been integral in capturing how Salesforce is making our buildings smarter and better connected. Our offices are key to how we connect, and we are committed to our Towers being a creative, sustainable and safe environment that inspires our customers, communities and employees.”
Salesforce Tower Chicago is the third phase of the Wolf Point master plan—a three-phase development designed by Pelli Clarke Pelli—located on one of the last remaining riverfront sites in Downtown Chicago. Hines is developing Salesforce Tower Chicago in partnership with longtime landowner, the Joseph P. Kennedy Family.
Salesforce Tower Chicago directly reflects all of Hines’ global best practices resulting in the most advanced and amenitized office building in Chicago. With an average floor plate size of 24,500 rentable square feet, the building will offer efficient planning for a variety of office users. Amenities will include a club-quality fitness center with locker rooms and showers, a conference center with multiple configurations and capacity sizes, a tenant lounge and approximately 25,000 square feet of amenitized food and beverage offerings.
Construction on Salesforce Tower Chicago is expected to be completed in Q1 2023.
