Drew Huffman
Senior Managing Director, Head of U.S. West / Los Angeles, California
Drew is a Senior Managing Director, Head of Hines’ U.S. West market. He oversees all development, acquisitions, asset management, and operational activity across Washington, Oregon, California, Utah, Colorado, Nevada, and Arizona offices.
He began his career with Hines in 2011 in the Orange County office, supporting acquisitions, development, and asset management for key projects. In 2019, Drew relocated to Hong Kong to expand the firm’s presence in the Asia Pacific region. The following year, he became Hines’ first regional business employee in Tokyo, where he led the formation of our regional business offices in Seoul and Tokyo. The two offices now have over 40 people and manage over $4 billion in assets, spanning 10 million square feet of acquisitions and developments across the major product types. After a brief stint in Sydney, Australia, in 2024, Drew returned to California in 2025 to assume his leadership role in the western U.S. Throughout his tenure at Hines, Drew has been instrumental in acquiring, developing, and disposing of more than 80 assets across various property types, totaling more than 17 million square feet and $6 billion in value.
Drew holds an undergraduate degree in Public Policy, Management, and Planning with an emphasis in Real Estate Development from the University of Southern California and a minor in Business from USC’s Marshall School of Business. Drew lives in Orange County with his wife, Emily, and their three children, Grace, Ada, and Gary.
