About Museum of Fine Arts, Houston Audrey Jones Beck Building

The Museum of Fine Arts Audrey Jones Beck Building is a three-story, 185,000-square-foot building constructed on Main Street directly across from the existing Museum of Fine Arts, Houston. The building is clad in Indiana gray limestone and is connected to the original museum and a new 600-car parking facility via a newly constructed tunnel. The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston contains galleries, a restaurant, a museum store and curatorial space. The building also houses the museum's permanent antiquities and European collections.

After its completion in early 2000, the gallery space from the Audrey Jones Beck Building, coupled with the existing Museum of Fine Arts, Houston buildings, raised the museum's rank in square footage among art museums to sixth in the nation.
